Lunchtime accounts for almost a quarter of the time children spend at school and is much more than simply a break for lunch and play. That is why we regard it as an integral part of the educational experience, with its own learning value<\/strong>. During this time, students interact in a relaxed environment, providing further opportunities to support their personal development and extend the school\u2019s educational project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n\n\t

Working closely with the teaching staff
\n<\/b><\/span>The close monitoring of students during lunchtime, together with ongoing collaboration between the lunchtime team and the teaching staff\u2014particularly class tutors\u2014is essential. It enables us to support each student\u2019s development, identify any emerging needs at an early stage and establish consistent routines whenever necessary.<\/p>\n

Close coordination within the lunchtime team
\n<\/b><\/span>Strong coordination among the school\u2019s lunchtime supervisors is key to delivering the educational aims of the Lunchtime Programme<\/b><\/span>. Many of our supervisors are former students who completed their training with Fundaci\u00f3 Cim d\u2019Estela<\/b><\/span>. They know the school well and share the values and educational philosophy of both the school and Fundaci\u00f3 Collserola<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n \t<\/div>\n \t<\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\t\n\n\t

The dining hall is an educational space where we place great importance on developing healthy eating habits and encouraging a varied, balanced and responsible approach to food. It is also a valuable opportunity to foster other important habits, such as managing noise levels during mealtimes, respecting diversity and promoting positive social interaction.<\/p>\n

In Early Years, lunchtime is supervised by the class teachers, providing continuity of care and support throughout the school day<\/p>\n\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\t

We see the playground as an educational leisure space. Lunchtime play provides an excellent opportunity to strengthen relationships, encourage positive social interaction and foster a sense of community among students. Play is at the heart of this learning experience. Each day, students can choose between free play and a wide range of organised activities, including games boxes, game-design workshops, guided games, traditional games and sports activities.<\/p>\n\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n
